I just looked back on the last 12 months and holy moly what a ride it's been - I have mild whiplash!

Wrapping Up Our New Regent Street Chapter
At the end of 2024, we said goodbye to our beautiful showroom on New Regent Street. It was a space filled with so many memories — from new friends to long-time shoe loving family, spontaneous champagne chats, and fabulously fun events. Our passion for shoes remains the same, but as we balance children, careers, and a desire for ongoing growth and variety - we decided that we needed to let go of our permanent physical showroom, to deliver a better experience to our shoe-loving community.
If we didn't catch you at the last event, I'd just like to thank each and every one of you for your support! Our showroom was a magical place because of the people that entered it. We look forward to continuing that magic with you…
A Fresh Start: We took a wee break, then we took a bigger break
With our lovely Dani heading off for her OE, Mrs Neumann and I both packed our shoes up and took off for a bit of R&R around the world, visiting Singapore, the US, the UK and a little bit of good old New Zealand.
As with most Christmas Holiday breaks - it was all over far too fast and before we knew it, pavlova was a distant memory and we were back at it with our new format of full freedom to be more creative, flexible, and connected to our shoe loving kin in fresh ways! Eeeek, we realised quickly - there were just too many options!!! I was a child in a sweet shop, and it was action on all fronts of the home and career world... So we decided our wee break had perhaps been a bit too wee...
As autumn and winter rolled in, we took a deliberate step back. No new releases, no social media strategy, no newsletters — just a quiet moment to catch our breath. Oh and as a reward for completing the world's longest stocktake (check out those reels if you need a chuckle) - we decided to book ourselves a little hot holiday **ahem**, I mean planning retreat!
Retreat Mode: Activated
We cooked up a storm of ideas on our 'planning retreat'... Classic us, we didn't quite finish the plans, and already, we haven't quite stuck to them!!
What we found though, is that we just loved reconnecting with giggles and adventures. The truth is, we may never be 'consistent', and 'execute a solid marketing plan' that sees us dominating the world of online retail, but that's not us!! That's not why I started The Shoe Curator.
What our little trip reminded me, was that I love connecting with my people! I love delicious food, I love adventures, and yes... I LOVE shoes.
We may not have completed our 2026 strategy on our trip, but we reconnected with what we are doing and why. This included; what we are not.
I'm not a social media influencer. Our social media posting is going to be... inconsistent! We have lives that are very full of varied things (more of that to come...). We will continue to be a 'pop-up' business in more ways than one... coming and going... in the rather chaotic way we have lived our lives and our friendship so far 🖤
What we know we can and will be consistent about though, is our love for each other, for sexy fun shoes, for connecting with our kin, for GOOD food, for laughs, giggles, adventures and love. And of course, for inconsistent chaos!
So that's what we will continue to bring in the year ahead... Gorgeous, unique, standout shoes, with our gorgeous messy, sensational hearts. A bit of sass. An edgy confidence. And hopefully - a lot of laughs.
